Bristol Outreach

Bristol Outreach’s  mission is to reach out to children, youth, and adults in urban Bristol.  We serve all socioeconomic and racial backgrounds.  Our mission is to provide opportunities for personal and spiritual growth in a safe environment.  Our goal is for people of all ages to grow in the love and understanding of Jesus Christ.

The youth program is a dynamic ministry meeting on Sunday Nights for bible study, fellowship, and worship.  Each Wednesday afternoon youth are involved in local missions.  This is their time to reach out to other youth, children and adults with the love of Jesus Christ.  Youth participate in fall and spring retreats and attend spiritual youth conferences.  During the summer months, youth are involved in “The Big Brother, Big Sister Camp.”
Youth become mentors in the camp reaching out to the children of urban Bristol. Youth spend one week in mission in the summer helping with repairs, painting houses, building handicapped ramps and other needs for urban areas.   The summers are filled with fellowship, cookouts and swim parties.

Children meet on Sunday Evenings.  A snack supper is provided for all children. The evening is filled with bible study, games, music, and a time of worship. The ministry begins each Sunday at 5:30 p.m. and ends at 7:30 p.m.  An invitation is extended to all children, youth, and adults in the Bristol area. Children present a Christmas Pageant each year and participate in an Easter Egg Hunt each spring. Summers for the children include swimming, summer camp, and picnics.

Each year Bristol Outreach sponsors a block party for the community.  Bristol Outreach meets at the YWCA on the corner of State Street and Pennsylvania Avenue.  We invite anyone interested in urban ministry to volunteer their help in the ministry of Bristol Outreach.
