Dr. William "Bill" E. Houck felt God calling him to begin NorthStar in August 1998. After meeting in a local high school for over two years, God allowed NorthStar to purchase 16.8 acres of land that had been in the same family since the days of the Civil War. After purchasing and paying for the property, construction began on the building (phase l). We have a 3 story building that provides space for our Bible Fellowship classes, offices, nursery, kitchen, and a large fellowship hall where our services are currently held. (Phase ll) will be construction of our sanctuary. God has blessed each step of NorthStar's growth. Dr. Houck graduated from Trinity Bible College with a B.A. in Religious Education. He received his M.Div. from Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary and his D.Min. from Luther Rice Seminary. Pastor Houck has pastored churches in Florida, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, Louisiana and Virginia. Pastor Houck and his wife, Sue have one daughter, Sarah.

Drew Hewett serves as Associate Pastor of Worship/Education. Drew and his wife, Beth Anne joined the staff of NorthStar in 2007. They have two children, Morgan and Noah.Drew graduated from Christian Heritage College with a degree in Music/Business. He received his M.Edu from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Drew has served churches in Florida and Texas.

Dustin Steward is the interim Youth Minister. Dustin and his wife, Melissa have one son, Andrew. They have been a part of NorthStar since 2001. Dustin is a graduate of Texas Christian University and has his MBA from King College. He also served 9 years in the United States Marine Corp.

Lou Ann Jones serves as the Administrative Assistant. She is a graduate of King College with a degree in Psychology. She is married to Kevin Jones who is a deacon at NorthStar. Kevin and Lou Ann have been at the church for 6 years.
